13 December 2017, 19:00 - 22:00
As 2017 is coming to an end, what better way to go out than with the Quebec premiere of one of DeuXX's recent faves, the award-winning Wexford Plaza by Toronto director, writer and producer Joyce Wong!
Betty (fantastic newcomer Reid Asselstine) is a recently employed security guard at the Wexford Plaza, a decrepit and wholly depressing suburban strip mall. Her luck seems to turn when she meets Danny (Darrel Gamotin), a kind and charismatic bartender, whom she takes an immediate liking to. However, an unexpected sexual encounter between the two will lead to consequences neither could have predicted.

"Wong’s deft script and sure-handed direction means that even as these characters spiral, we never blame one or the other. It’s a unique approach to storytelling and character building, and it signals Wong as a major talent to watch." - LA TIMES
“Wexford Plaza” is honest, darkly funny, unabashedly raw, and unforgiving in its small scope and big ideas about what it means to really grow up." - THE PLAYLIST
