VideoVideoJam is an experimental game jam bringing together film, video, animation, and comic artists to make multi-screen experimental FMV (full-motion video) games using custom-built tools as an introduction to DIY game-making.
VVJ is a jam that uses FMV game-making tool ScreenPerfect (think a video-based Twine), inspired by Hannah Epstein's synchronous multi-screen/device installation game PsXXYborg, built by Alex Leitch. The workshop offers to download and give a tutorial on a new game engine called Screen Perfect, which was developed to run PsXXYborg. It's a full motion video game engine, meant for filmmakers who can't code and coders who can't operate a camera. It is, furthermore, meant for dual screen media creation; participants are invited to think about the two-screen format in the narrative design process.
