Sound-Disk Machines is a self-made electronic musical instrument imagined by Marko Timlin, that converts light fluctuation into sounds.

It is composed of acrylic hard-drives, each of a different model, computer fans, phototransistors, analog filters, and a custom-made control unit. The acoustics of the instrument depends on the rotational speed of the fan, the different models of hard-drives, and their respective light sources. Timlin is a sound artist interested in converting light and motion into sound.
