"Morphist" is an audiovisual performance that studies the notions of form, metamorphosis, and mutation.
An abstract mathematical substance is composed of a myriad of particles, the organization of which is modified and disturbed by two interpreters. This material is audiovisual: every alteration of its layout is transposed in sound and image, following radical synaesthetic processes. Under the influence of different forces, thousands of particles organize themselves into unstable structures of great complexity.
Each particle has its own life in the universe that is constrained by the physical mechanisms of gravity, fluid mechanics or attraction. The particles are constantly subject to conflicting influences, creating a macroform as well as showing highly complex behavior overall. During the performance, the artists control the forces acting on this universe and generate different states of fragile, cross-balanced, and unpredictable energy.
