After consumerism collapses, a reapropriation of our electronic devices and our human bodies becomes necessary.
A virus has attacked a whole new generation computers, smartphones, tablets, with most features becoming unusable. This series of four workshops looks at how to reconnect with your machine from an embodied awareness.
Wednesday, May 21
11am-2pm: Attent!on som(t)a(c)tics: With the micro movements of our bodies when using our devices, we improvise and explore forms of embodied emancipation within a digital context. with Elise Hardy
3pm-6pm: Terminal poetics: We start communicating with our electronics and with each other. What can we do? with Pascale Gustin
Thursday, May 22
11am-2pm: Meditation with computer: Mindfulness technics will connect the processes at work in our minds with our computer processes. with Anne Goldenberg
3pm-6pm: Electromagnetic computer music: The radiation of our devices is transformed into noise. By operating basic software, computer music happens in the most literal, physical sense.
Participants need not enroll for all four workshops. Each segment, costs $12 (regular) or $10 (student). The series of four workshops costs $40 (regular) or $34 (student). Participants are asked to bring their computer.
