Anne-Françoise Jacques and Nicolas Dion Buteau propose a sound intervention project based on the ambiguity between the space of radio broadcasting and that of live performance.
The artists will improvise a live performance in public space, using manipulations of amplified objects, simple mechanical actions and rudimentary electrical phenomena. The result of this interaction will be broadcast using a mini FM antenna, audible via the listeners’ personal receivers, as well as on a small radio network around the site of the performance. Dion and Jacques are sound artists particularly interested in the amplification of small objects, simple mechanics, and electricity.
A small web of radios will be dispersed on the site. Audience members can also bring an FM receiver device (ex: portable radio, headset, etc) in order to hear the performance.
Exact location of performance (google maps link)
In case of rain the event will still take place. If there are rainstorms, the performance will be moved under the neighbouring higway (google map link).
