Francis Fortier [CA]
Francis Fortier is completing a Masters in Sociology at the University of Quebec in Montreal on the economic crises of the 60s and 70s in the United States. He is examining specifically the place that labour organization has as a guiding principle behind crisis theory. His recent research focused on Quebec and the socioeconomic consequences of its governmental decisions. Among other things, he studied the impacts of various tax reforms initiated in Quebec since the early 2000s, and their foreseen reforms. His analysis highlights their positive and negative impacts on systemic inequalities generated by the labor market.
