Audiotopie [CA]

Founded in 2009, Audiotopie first focused its activities on creations linked to the territory and related themes. The cooperative designs and presents soundwalks under the form of audio guide and performances. Originally composed of three members, the organization welcomes new members with varied backgrounds and experiences over the years.

Since 2010, its production has gradually diversified, promoting a hybrid approach where sound art is linked to other practices such as video, design, dance, photography and sculpture. Winner of the Phyllis Lambert Design Montréal Grant in 2013, Audiotopie began at the same time the realization of several international projects (Asia, France, Italy, Portugal). From 2014, the organization has carried out projects involving physical installations integrating interactive elements that lead them to develop their own audio broadcast tools.
