WORKSHOP SERIES GIVEN BY ANGELA GABEREAU
From binary mathematics to object-orienteering programming, this series of workshop will familiarize participants with the fundamental concepts of computer programming. This is for absolute n00bs. No prior experience is required.
We will use Processing, an open source programming language and integrated development environment (IDE) built for the electronic arts, new media art, and visual design communities with the purpose of teaching the fundamentals of computer programming in a visual context, and to serve as the foundation for electronic sketchbooks' (source: Wikipedia)
The class consists of 1 hour of lecture each week followed by a 1/2 hour programming task. This workshop series is designed to create a casual learning environmennt. Come when you can and pick a couple of new skills. Participation in each class is not required, however, if you have no experience with programming it is highly recommended. We will be moving through material quite quickly, so you will need to stay on your toes!
Participants must bring their own computers.
