ModularMondays

  • Every Monday from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

ModularMondays are weekly modular synthesizer performance sessions that, while not being limited to a given style, tend towards the West coast early experimental electronic music of the sixties and seventies.

The instruments performed at these sessions are often built, sometimes even designed, by the performers. The systems range from Buchla to Serge; Eurorack to Ondomo; Phenol to Ciat-Lonbarde. Each performance lasts anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes, and time is taken between the session for critique and discussion. The audio performances are occasionally accompanied by video projection performances.

We welcome any and all with an interest in electronic musical instruments and experimentation to join, as performers or audience. Attendance is in principle free to all participants, but we welcome and encourage donations to EasternBloc, which very generously hosts the weekly event.
