Data : Salon XXXI - susy.technology
14 April 2018, 20:00 - 2:00
- TEO ZAMUDIO
For the 31st event of Data:Salon series, susy.technology brings their collective audio-visual practice into focus, allowing it to be explored in depth, with its multifaceted nature manifesting in its truest form yet.
The evening will feature live AV performances, a VR experience and the premiere of a collaborative installation developed by the collective. All three spaces within Eastern Bloc will be carefully transformed and given a purpose, allowing visitors to peer into the creative universe forming at the intersection of Valeda, Witnessing, Forms, Teo Zamudio, and /||\||\’s work. The night will come to a close with back to back DJ sets featuring a wild and eclectic mix of sounds to dance to.
Bio / susy.technology operates as a collective of artists based in Montréal (Tio'tia:ke). Their creative endeavours take on many forms, spanning the converging spheres of music, digital art, performance, sound design, projection mapping and more. They share a studio where their practices can intersect freely. While varying in approach, their work collectively addresses and reflects the different ways in which they experience and process the world around them through primarily digital creative means. Responses to gendered violence and personal trauma, technological dependencies, border politics and Digital Death, are recently explored through their individual projects and releases. As a collective, they aim to support each other in their artistic endeavours through continuing to develop their shared network of skills and ideas.
